Fill the Hexagons!

In Math, we've been learning about our 2-D shapes. We have also been exploring our shapes and how we can put them together, or take them apart to make new shapes.

This week one of our challenges for math was to "Fill the Hexagons". To do this activity the students had to roll the pattern cube and put the corresponding shape on their game board. The object was to find the different ways to fill in the hexagon. There were 8 ways to complete this. I had several students who beat the challenge by finding all of the ways.

100th Day

Happy 100th Day!

On January 29th/30th we celebrated the 100th day of Kindergarten! We have learned so much these first 100 days. We still have so much more to learn in the next 75 days.

We enjoyed celebrating the 100th day by playing some 100's games, having a 100's snack, and wearing our 100th day capes.
